How do I remove generic image?

My product is a diamond painting kit, ASIN B0CV79MMGD

It is my own creation, so there are no other sellers. But it is not an image of my product that is showing, it is a picture of a 1 day Tattoo kit.

So I suppose there is a reason why my image won't show, but I don't know what's wrong with it. If someone could guide me for this first product, I'll understand going forward.

Thanks!

Due to your listing being Generic, your listing got Hijacked by another seller.

We've run into this issue many times and there are typically two reasons for it:

First - it sounds super weird but it happens to us ALL the time. If you load an image that doesn't meet Amazon's requirements, sometimes Amazon will load a completely different image rather than just suppress the listing. Why? I have no idea. The most recent example was a Whiskey Glass that Amazon rejected the main image (for not having a white background) and loaded a picture of a wristwatch instead. Completely unrelated, yet somehow...

Second - Did you use a UPC to create this item? If you purchased a "used" UPC from the secondary market then Amazon may be pulling information from an older listing that originally used that UPC (it's not supposed to be possible, but we have run into this many times. Typically it happens with UPCs that haven't been used in a decade+)

The first option is your most likely culprit. Make sure you are following ALL Amazon's image requirements - no text on the main (first) image; main image has to be product on white background; check the sizing and formatting; etc.

Hi @Seller_Sq4JnuuciuYE7,

Daryl here from our Forums team jumping in to further assist here, both selling partners are correct, @Seller_7LrAV0m5llaI7's mention is something that happens from time to time, I would encourage you to report the situation by using the Report a Violation tool: Search for ASINs in bulk.

As for @Seller_gVgGkYf88ifhQcomment, it's important to follow the next guidelines:

Image Issues

Images not appearing on the Detail page

Product image requirements

Using another brand’s Intellectual Property in your generic product listing, or listing a branded product as generic, are violations of our listing policies. For more information, see our Brand Name policy.

If you are creating a new generic product that does not have a unique identifier, such as Universal Product Code (UPC) or Global Trade Item Number (GTIN), you must first request a GTIN Exemption in the desired store and product category. To make a request, go to GTIN Exemption. You must request this approval for each product category and store in which you want to create a new generic product without any product identifier.

For more information on creating a new product, go to Product detail page rules.

For more information on error messages associated with the policy and the steps to resolve your issue, go to Error messages related to Amazon generic product policy.

Do let me know if you have any follow-up questions!
