YXU1 keeps losing our stuff.

Our recent shipments to YXU1 have turned into a bit of a disaster, and I'm kind of lost here. Any advice or shared experiences would mean a lot right now.

So, in the latest shipment, two whole boxes of our stuff has gone missing at YXU1, even though the boxes were scanned at the warehouse. I packed those boxes myself, and double-checked everything, but now there's thousands of dollars in of missing products causing a mini-crisis. The loss prevention dept. is eyeing me like I'm the Houdini of disappearing goods, even though you can clearly see me packing them on camera, and the rest of my coworkers are gripping their purses and fannypacks around me. Still waiting for Amazon to get back to me but I am about to puke. Since I packed them, I am fully 100% accountable for them and scared to death of losing my job at Christmas.

Also, previous shipment, handled by an incredibly meticulous co-worker, is also missing some fairly expensive (and distinctive) items. How on earth does that happen when everything else he packs is perfect? Seriously hoping someone out there can help shed some light on this madness. Do we just cancel every shipment that is supposed to go to YXU1? Amazon has gotten back to us about the missing items from this shipment, after five or so automated e-mails. This is what they sent:

"We do understand that your next question will be how the fulfillment center has confirmed the unit count for this shipment? Well, the fulfillment center Associates do a physical check of each shipment received at the fulfillment center at various points to ensure that none of the units are left at any points at our fulfillment center.

This auto reconciliation process usually ensures a seamless experience for your prospective customers when units ship out to them.

Once your shipment has been received, we automatically initiate an investigation on your behalf for certain products in your shipment. During the investigation, we will attempt to confirm the number of units received at multiple points for accuracy. If we are able to confirm the number of units received for a given product, the product will no longer be eligible for investigation.

In addition to the research performed by the fulfillment center associates, I have personally gone ahead and checked the events associated to the missing units and found no record of receiving the units in question."

Yeah right! What did they check? The weight of the packages shows that the products in question were IN THE PACKAGES. What is up with this fulfillment centre anyway? I know it's new, is it really run by robots?

This is almost certainly not your fault.

Tell your boss / coworkers this happens all the time nowadays with FBA and not just at that warehouse. To almost all FBA sellers.

I myself have 3 similar active cases where significant % of shipments are not received but Amazon closed the shipments. One of which has over 2,000$ worth of missing stuff. Another is for a single box of 31 units where Amazon closed the listing with 0/31 received. Basically saying I shipped an empty 15 pounds box... I've been doing this for over 12 years - never had problems like that before just a few months ago.

I'm pretty sure at this point most FBA sellers are having similar issues.

On an unrelated note, you logo is AI generated right? :D

As others have stated in multiple posts, this is now a common occurence at all Amazon FCs. We currently gave 2 open cases and when looking at our pending shipments, we will likely gave another 2-3 before year’s end.

Amazon obviously has either an incompetence problem or a theft problem…likely both…and they obviously don’t care or it would be seriously addressed rather get worse. Mods now shy away from these posts knowing we’re right and that they have nothing to offer.

A question we’ve been having is…can we file a formal complaint with the local police department for theft? I know that per ToS we can’t sue, but if we have merchandise disappear from our warehouse we will report the theft. Does anyone know or tried this before?

I only had two shipment to YXU1 and both lost 1/3 of items. One of them Amazon admit they lost it and reimbursed me but it is not even close to what I can get if I sold them all but I would take that.

On the other shipment they said they counted twice and confirmed twice that they don't have record of receiving them... After opening so many cases I just give up. And they slapped so many inaccurate product quantities in box and inaccurate product quantities in shipment problem to my account...

Now 6 weeks later I had some sales that I didn't expect and guess what... all my lost items from that shipment Amazon said they have counted twice and are so sure they did not received suddenly all added to my inventory...

I felt like I won the lottery and I really hope it is the case for you.

YXU1 is a MESS. We avoid that warehouse at all costs now. Had a shipment in limbo for 2+ months because every time the driver arrived to drop off (FTL/LTL), they would tell them there's no space and reschedule. 2 months later, we finally had enough and told the shipper to bring it back to us. Had to pay 3x the original shipping fees for all the back and forth and Amazon won't cover anything. As expected.

Started selling on Amazon about a year ago utilizing FBA. Shipments are a mess! I've had 10 shipments total and 6 have resulted in claims of some sort. Craziness! I love the opportunity of selling on Amazon but they need to get this sorted out.
