To comply with the INFORM consumers law, Amazon needs to collect and verify information about my Sell on Amazon account.
I submitted my tax identification number, which with a French company is the Siret number, but it still appears to be “in progress”. How long does the verification procedure take?

Sorry to say, your foreign tan number will never be accepted on the .com USA amazon site.
You need to provide a USA Tax number for your company. You will need a retailer's license from a State where your business will exist, and then a Federal EIN Tax number to provide to Amazon.
