FBA inventory lost with a reimbursement of 20 dollars on a 1500 dollar item unacceptable and needs to be fixed
Hello Amazon,
FBA lost one of our 1500 dollar, high end microphones and refuses to reimburse us the full, retail value of this item.
This is totally unacceptable and unfair, what justification is there in giving us 20 dollars for the reimbursement when we clearly have it listed on multiple, reputable reseller websites such as sweet water and guitar center? Where is the customer obsession for your sellers in this instance?
Leadership will not reimburse us based on case 15507802221 - we've even provided proof of these other retailers selling our item on case 15307924041
I need someone with authority to re-review our case as this is an outrageous amount to reimburse for such a high end piece of equipment, thank you and I look forward to resolution from a forums team member.

You appear to be brand new to Amazon. This will NOT be the last time that you face this.
Amazon uses whatever black box they have to determine how much (if anything) they refund.
If by "inventory lost" you mean that they can't find it you would have been much better off without any refund. With no refund they would add it to your FBA inventory when (if) they found it.
Now, since they refunded the item it becomes much more likely that Amazon will keep it if they ever find it and sell it on one of their outlet deals or whatever they are doing at the time of recovery.

Unless an item cannot be found after it has sold, Amazon has no obligation to refund the retail price (although they sometimes will get close if it's got a good sales history). But they should be giving you at the minimum your cost.
Have they asked for an invoice? Do you have a wholesale invoice?
Hopefully one of the mods can chime in with how best to proceed.
