Previously, I have shared a post about using ERP method to avoid the placement fee, and I recently tested it myself. Surprisingly, it actually worked. I learned about this technique from a Chinese Amazon seller's post and discovered that many of them use it to lock in one nearest preferred fulfillment location without incurring any placement fees. It will be a huge saving. Now they might be happy with me for revealing this information. Nevertheless, if we want to ensure fairness in this Amazon Placement fee game, this issue needs to be addressed and resolved.

In this Chinese ERP system, I conducted a test by adding 60 units of a single item. The system automatically split the inventory into 5 shipments. I deselected all the other shipment locations and only kept one location of my choice. After submitting the request, I refreshed the Amazon shipment page and converted the API shipment to "Fulfilled by Amazon". Surprisingly, no placement fee was displayed. I repeated this process multiple times with different quantities and location, and each time there was no placement fee charged......

I am sure the AI will detect it and classify as manipulation or violation. Personnally I would not risk that.
And no, I am not interested in this ERP system and private messages are technically not possible in this forum.

While this is possible it wont be forever. Amazon will close this loophole. There is a software out there that advertises basically this method. You're technically not doing anything against the rules but it won't last.

Amazon Placement will charge after 45 days and what you see on ERP system is $0 placement. Are you sure you won't be charge placement fee after inventories check in?

Be careful. Just because Chinese sellers can use this method without any problem doesn't ensure the same positive outcome for US sellers.

It is highly probable that Amazon will take measures to close this loophole, as the current situation puts US sellers at a disadvantage. With the costly placement fees they have to pay, it becomes unfair when Chinese sellers can lower their product prices and gain a competitive advantage. It is essential for Amazon to ensure fairness among all sellers and maintain a level playing field.

I would be careful doing this. Chinese sellers look for any way they can to cheat. And Amazon allows it for them! Feel Amazon will shut this loophole down for US based sellers.
