I don't think they are looking for you to be selling on Amazon; it sounds as if they are expecting you to have your own website and be selling from that.
Make sure that they understand that you are looking to sell as a third-party seller on Amazon.
(and if branded items, make sure you have permission FROM THE BRAND before listing).
