Quick Tip: Payments Dashboard – Statement View

img

Hello Sellers!

This post will give an outline of the Statement View page and our next post will look at the Transaction View page.

The Statement View page is the landing page you reach when you click on Payments from the Payments option in the Seller Central drop down menu.

When you open the Statement View page, the view can vary on a daily basis depending on the transaction activity in your account.

Beneath the tabs 3 sections detail your total balance, funds available and recent payments.

In the centre of the page there is a summary chart available.

The transactions are broken into proceeds marked in blue and expenses marked in red. On the right-hand side of the chart any amounts underlined can be clicked to obtain additional information about the transaction.

The summary chart allows you to get a breakdown of that balance in an account that shows the following:

  • Beginning Balance: The amount carried over from the previous settlement period including account level reserves and failed disbursements (if any).
  • Sales: The amount generated through your orders, consisting of:
  1. Product Charges: Your price multiplied by the quantity sold.
  2. Delivery: Collected from customers to cover delivery of orders.
  3. Tax: Sales tax collected from customers.
  4. Promo Rebates: Charges for any promotion rebates.
  5. Other: This includes, but is not limited to, FBA inventory reimbursements and gift wrap credits.
  • Refunds:
  1. Refunded Expenses: The amount covering fees charged by Amazon and promo rebates.
  2. Refunded Sales: The amount covering customer order payments such as product sales, shipping, gift wrap, concessions and tax.
  • Expenses: Charges made to your account consisting of:
  1. Amazon Fees: This includes, but is not limited to, referral fees, monthly professional selling fee (if applicable), FBA fulfilment fees, chargebacks for shipping and gift wrap.
  2. FBA Fees: This includes, but is not limited to non-order fees such as storage of inventory at our fulfilment centres, removal order, and reimbursement and balance adjustments.
  3. Cost of Advertising: The cost incurred for advertising.
  4. Other: Miscellaneous charges which can include coupon redemption fees.
  • Account Level Reserves: The amount of money that is reserved to ensure that you have enough funds to fulfil any claims or chargebacks. For more information, go to What is an account level reserve.

Under Expenses 4. Other, why can we not see what the fee is for?? I sell FBM and have never had this expense. In both my .ca and .com accounts, the last payment had substantial amounts deducted there. I have opened cases 14623382111 and 14623217691 to ask seller "help" about it, but you can guess where that gets me....
