Urgent Assistance Needed – Error 5461 Brand Approval – Case # 17415876031

Dear Amazon Selling Partner Support,

@Danika_Amazon

@Sandy_Amazon

@Blake_Amazon

@Michelle_Amazon

I am reaching out regarding my brand approval issue for listing Candy & Chocolate category. I have repeatedly received error 5461, stating that there is no verifiable information about this brand in the Amazon catalog. I already talked with amazon at least 5 times but they keep telling me to wait and I keep getting the same email sayin "we had to decline your application."

i have Invoices from my supplier, showing a valid purchase of the products.

i asked the vendor for Official authorization letter , I also asked the brand too.

i dont know what else should i give them. please help!!

Maybe because of the meltable policy:

2025 FBA Meltable Inventory Policy

by News_Amazon

an hour ago

To meet product quality standards, we won’t accept meltable inventory at our fulfillment centers between April 15, 2025 and October 15, 2025.

Meltable inventory remaining in our fulfillment centers after April 15 may be marked unfulfillable and disposed of for a fee, starting on May 1, 2025.

Meltable inventory refers to all heat-sensitive products that melt during prolonged exposure to temperatures of 155 degrees Fahrenheit. This includes but is not limited to chocolate, gummies, and select jelly- and wax-based products.

To learn more about the policy or to download a list of meltable ASINs, go to Meltable FBA inventory. To submit an inventory removal order through your Seller Central account, go to FBA removal order.

Hi there @Seller_xxCm1NGvPNuWR

From what I can see and based on what the team told you in your case, there is a brand in use on Amazon with the same brand name. When there are two brands with the same brand name attempting to sell on Amazon, the only way the second brand can be approved to sell is to also be enrolled in Brand Registry. Brand Registry ties the trademark for the brand to itself and allows for both Amazon and customers to decipher that the two are different.

I highly recommend you check out a post my colleague Sandy made recently - Brand Approval vs Brand Registry - The Critical Differences. If sellers don’t have a trademark but want to list under a brand that does not exist on Amazon, please reference the Brand name approval requirements and issue resolution.
