Do Handmade listings need Compliance documents on top of new Q4 listing policies?

I just logged in to my Handmade Manage Inventory page and saw the following statement: "Starting September 30 2024, new listings will require approved compliance documents to become active."

I've read thru the info and it doesn't really apply to us, as we do not sell our Handmade items B2B, nor are our Handmade items Federally or State regulated. This new compliance documentation seems like a lot of ridiculous hoops to jump thru? Are these Compliance Documents going to be required for all Handmade products?

I was one of the fortunate people who got opted in to Brand Registry, a few years ago, without having to federally register our brand, and we also have an Amazon store. Now it seems that the new Q4 Handmade listing requirements will require UPC codes, or the need to get GTIN exemptions for every category we sell in? We have had abysmal sales on Amazon for the past year, and it really doesn't seem worth the time or effort to jump thru even more hoops for Amazon.

Can a Mod answer the above questions for me and the easiest resolution for them?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Healing_Stones_for_Y,

Thanks for the post and thank you so much for your patience. For the new Q4 listing policies, you will have to request a GTIN exemption per category. Once you are approved in that category, you can list as many items as they won't that it won't require an exemption.

Including a quick read where you can read the full Handmade New Listing Experience in Q4 in the Handmade Hub in the "2024 Handmade Newsletters" section.

Best regards and have a good weekend.
