Identifying the cause for a decrease in sales is complicated as you will need to analyze product and market data specific to your business.

To improve sales I would recommend optimizing your listings, ads and managing the items BSR.

I came to the forums to see if anyone had been experiencing the same thing. What happened June 1st?

My sales immediately dropped 90% and I do not understand why. This is not normal and should not be chalked up to seasonal. Too coincidental.

Is it because I am not doing much advertising and feeding the beast?

Was there an update or new policy I am unaware of that started June 1st and my store was affected?

Looking for answers as to anything that was set to launch on June 1st because I have had steady sales all year and now dropped 90%. Seems very odd for this to happen without some kind of trigger being pulled on the Amazon side I am unaware of.

Any insight from other sellers experiencing the same drop is helpful. Thanks

In a word - vacations. Memorial Day Weekend kicks off a lot of summer vacations since the kids are out of school. Down south, kids are out in June and July, so the amusement parks are packed as are the typical summer hot spots.

Yes, sales are down this year significantly from any prior year. Macro economic trends are against us. Credit card debt is record high, inflation is way up, cost of living is up. People are not spending money freely on "wants" and spending it all on "needs"

Only thing you should be tracking is your ranking vs your competitors. No one can answer why there are more or less customers on Amazon with certainty. Focus on what you can control.

We have a somewhat different perspective.

Already a hot summer , 100+ in the area we live in-southern AZ. There's a heat dome that's affecting Nevada, Southern CA, too-all these places need AC or swamp cooler to survive-and it costs $$.(Our utility bill goes up approx. $250 monthly during our 7-8 month "summer".) That's money we don't spend somewhere else....

Friends are going on vacation-they feel it's deserved after all the worries of the year. Even if have to put it on a CC.

Summer for us as booksellers is usually a slow time. We expect it. Unless you sell beach towels, sun block or swimsuits, may be a fact of selling in the summer.

Amazon also caused issue with coupons, has done something with the algo. This has all to do with competition from Temu, Shein, Tiktok shop, Instant cart, and all the technical mishaps and changes they are doing too fast.

Hello from Amazon Brand Registry Support,

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused with the frustration you have received because of not appearing your brand name in listings

I certainly understand how much important for you to display brand name in front of the title on detail page assuming to have more sales to your products and generate more revenue. It is my great pleasure to assist you today.

I have checked with our internal team and would like to inform you that in order to improve the customer shopping experience, we have launched a new way to show product titles that brings the most important information about the product and brand to the forefront with the focus of driving higher conversion and increased sales.

In certain cases, we are giving more space in the title to displaying additional product features that will be more helpful to the customer instead of the brand name.

Brand name will continue to be displayed on the product detail page in the “Brand” byline. Brands who do not have their brand name show in titles, but want their brand name to be displayed, can focus on building a stronger brand by communicating their unique Brand story and value proposition with Amazon tools like Brand Stores, Posts, A+ Brand Story and Sponsored Brands.

Furthermore, Brands can keep their customers engaged and better informed by communicating with them via Brand Tailored Promotions and Customer Reviews. By using these tools and creating high quality content, sellers can make their brand name more relevant and more likely to be displayed in title.

I appreciate your patience and understanding. Have a nice day.
