We wouldn't have to bring cases to the forums if Seller support was actually our friends and experts.
Instead, we have to get our friends, the forum moderators, involved to solve support issues.
Until Amazon fixes their seller support, I don't think much is going to change in these forums.
I agaree with @Seller_7LrAV0m5llaI7. A very very large amoung of posts ARE account specific, from folks who have been ignored by Seller Support or gotten non-useful auto bot replies.
I do think more people could search the forum first to find that so many of us have the same issues, such as feedback removal process (or not), removal (or not) of negative feedback, the fact that the Buy Box has been lost, etc. Those get the same answers all the time from sellers that do try to help out others.
Thank you Christine for posting this topic.
I will certainly echo what others are saying...
SELLER SUPPORT IS NOT OUR FRIEND!
I am willing to bet a minium of 1/2 the posts on this forum would not be required if seller support were better qualified & trained and even more importantly actually cared at all about seller needs and concerns!
Amazon has never received a single positive feedback regarding Seller Support yet keeps promoting it as ''a solution'' for our problem.
Amazon seller support is BY FAR the worst customer service I've seen from any platform, and or any company.
It's worse than talking to a chatbot - it's as if it's a group of bitter lazy employees overseas that wish the worst on the sellers and all they want to do is find a quick irrelevant copy-paste answer to deny any request for support.
If we didn't have the forums, the courts would have been much busier than they are now... It's absolutely ridiculous how much time we all waste going in circles vs copy-paste bot employees.
I've heard a quote once from a Lowes employee, that I feel all Amazon seller support take very seriously: "Minimum wage = minimum effort"
Meanwhile we pay 15% fees to get minimum effort employees in a third world country that couldn't care less about our problems.
I can confidently say that 5% of account related issues I run into, and open a case for with seller support, end up being resolved with seller support. the other 95% I end up resolving elsewhere.
Until the day amazon decides to restructure seller support and provide better support, the forum is going to stay the same.
