Amazon is not letting me downgrade from professional selling to individual selling

I registered as a seller account only recently. For some reason, my account is appearing as a professional account though I registered as an individual account. Or perhaps I did so mistakenly. Now I need to downgrade from professional to individual however whenever I try to change those settings, It redirects me to the Credit card page again and asks me to update my credit card information so they can charge 39.99.

Has someone else faced this? I am unable to downgrade from professional to individual. I am a new seller, I haven't started selling and I do not wish to Pay professional seller fees till I'm stable.

Thanks for reaching out. You can choose to downgrade your account from a Professional selling plan to an Individual selling plan if you don't want to be charged a monthly subscription fee.

To downgrade your account to an Individual selling plan, click Downgrade in My services. For more information, see Selling plans.

As long as you have not used any of the features and are within the time frame, you will be eligible for a refund.

Please let me know if you have been able to get this resolved.

If in fact you are not able to get past these steps, please open a seller support case and post the case id number.
