LTL Shipping cost

Typically we pay around $80 - $120 per pallet for partnered carrier LTL shipping. Setting up a new shipment the quote shot up to $480 for one pallet (typical weight, same destination on East Coast). This excludes the new Amazon surcharge.

Shipping individual boxes with UPS would be significantly cheaper. Anybody else noticed something similar?
