Is flagging a post as "Violating Community Guidelines" automated?

I posted a question a few days ago, and after 15 years of being here, I see a notification warning of "violating community guidelines". Found it both perplexing and humorous, since I re-read the guidelines and see none of the points applied to my post. Granted, it's just a warning.

Just wondering if that means a human flagged it. Not really looking for the "why" as it's not that important and I'll do just fine without the answer; though I know the answer would have benefited sellers.

Curiously, Amazon did not remove the post. Why not since it was in violation? Bizarre.

Hello @academic_books

Thank you very much for posting your question! I'm sorry you're confused about this warning notification, I confirmed you should have received a note about it, but you didn't. I apologize for that.

In fact, these actions are taken by Amazon moderators as soon as we see the posts in which we should take an action like this. Posts are not always deleted, even though notifications are sent.

I will send you a separate note with more specific information about this action.

Thanks,

Lucre_Amazon
