Credit card invalid issue
discussion. So I tried using 2 credit cards. They both worked for US and Canada. Not valid for Mexico. They are both Mastercard. Why are they both valid for US & Canada but have the error on both cards for Mexico. I don't even want to sell to Mexico.

Greetings @Seller_Zga2X7k012rS8,
Thank you for reaching out. This is a very common issue among sellers when signing up with Amazon. Amazon requires a real credit card, so not a debit or pre-paid card. Your financial institution may only allow your credit card to be used in certain countries. As a result, you may see the same credit card being honored by Amazon in some of our stores, but not in others. When you register in Amazon as a seller, it is necessary to enter an internationally chargeable credit card with a valid billing address located in an eligible country. Reach out to your financial institution to determine the countries your card is eligible to be used in. You can use different credit cards in various Amazon stores. For the list of accepted credit cards, go to Bank account and credit card information for your seller account.
Note: We do not accept alternative charge methods, such as prepaid credit cards, gift certificates, checks, or online payment systems like PayPal.
We accept the following credit cards:
- American Express
- Diners Club
- Discover
- JCB
- MasterCard
- Visa
Also note to make sure the buyer side is also updated. Please let me know if you have additional questions. Here to help.
Happy selling.
Cheers,
Micah
