Why is Amazon Stripping my Brand Name From Title Now

Why is Amazon stripping my brand name from my title now? Every mod in here suggested adding Brand Name + Handmade to our titles so I did. Now Amazon is only showing Handmade + title?

It is still showing my brand name on the back side but when you look at it online - its stripped.

I hope you find out why this is happening to you. I wish I could tell you. They changed my brand name to generic because I do not have my name trademarked. Now, they just announced they changed generic to "Handmade." The problem with that is when the potential buyer clicks on the word "handmade" it takes them to the handmade category page. It does not take the buyer to your other items like it used to when they clicked on your name.

Amazon only displays a brand name if it is brand registered with Amazon.

This might not be related, but I had all my product titles as "Handmade . . . . . " and when I looked on the amazon site the word Handmade isn't there, so strange as it seems they just seem to have stripped the first word.

I have fixed this by changing my titles to "Handmade Handmade . . . . . ." and now it shows up as just "Handmade . . . . ." on the website. So maybe try putting your brand name twice on the title, wait a day for the system to catch up and see if that works?

Hello @Kathy - and thank you for looking to the forums for some insight into this. Can you help advise if your brand is registered within Amazon Brand Registry? Also, if you've opened a case with our seller support team on this, feel free to share that case ID here in the thread so I can take a closer look!

In the meantime, I'll share these best practices for titles of handmade products along with these instructions for updating handmade titles in case they prove handy!

Thanks in advance,

Danny
