ANY 3rd party seller on Amazon[Moderator Edit: removed inappropriate commentary]

How much abuse can people truly take? Looking and reading through these comments over the years the answer is....a lot. [Moderator Edit: removed inappropriate commentary] But trust and believe it's coming. Amazon is doing and done WHATEVER benefits them and them alone and 3rd party sellers just continue to take loss after loss. I'm willing to bet there is not 1 3rd party seller who's profit margins have increased in the last 4 years. Yeah, you may be selling more but the profits are gone in comparison to years past. Goodbye and good riddance Amazon.

So how much are you willing to bet? And how do I get you the info to send your payment?

My margins are up, even though my overall profits are down. But the reasons for the decline are not the fault of Amazon, but rather the still lasting effects of the COVID lockdown, and increased competition. But those very same things have actually improved my margin, both gross and net.

What I cannot believe is that despite the higher cost of doing business on Amanoz (which ultimately gets passed onto the buyer) customers continue to shop here and, in a lot of cases, only here. Getting the big amazin boot is certainly the main premise of my recurring nightmares, but I guess what I would suggest to you is raise your prices if competition allows and see if your customer still pays. On the other hand, you might enter into the attrition phase of the competitive cycle to see if you can drive substitutes to your item(s) out of the game. While this might be risky and involve an up front pay cut you might also find efficiencies that you can then scale up once you're out of the woods. I remind my fellow sellers that no matter where you go you are either going to be first, best or only. Otherwise, you're eventually going to go the way of the dodo.

I always tend to take messages like this with a grain of salt. You either sell too small profit items, allow your operating costs to get too high, and well, i'm not even going to touch on all the other variables that you, the seller have in control to mitigate whatever it is your ranting about. Typically when i see someone seething like this, there's always the other side of the story that never gets told. So, how bout you just walk out, without throwing a fuss and leave the others that know what they are doing be in peace. Good luck.

It might be helpful to us "suckers" if you described exactly what your issue is/was.

One fact is that Amazons endless fees have increased way faster than inflation. They are putting 3P sellers to the whipping post in order to increase their bottom line and it is a bad strategy. Because 3P sellers are the majority of what is sold here. I understand that fees need to increase periodically. But as with healthcare costs, it is pretty easy to see when a price is increasing way faster than anything else you pay for. But Amazon just puts on the Cheshire cat smile and says Wink Wink... what are you going to do about it? I think what will end it is the fact that they are gaming the entire ecommerce market though. Its one thing to abuse sellers on your own plaform, but price fixing an entire supposedly free market of other retailers will bite them in the end... unless they change. What will bring them down is the competetive pricing scam. Mark my words.

Its been tragic, each year for about 3 years my sales are down 50% a year, year over year and keep dropping. Its not a me thing, in the same time frame my own website has increased about 150% year over year each year......I will call it a WIN!
