Quick question about vacation mode
Selling since 2011, and not once have I put books on vacation mode. I'm considering doing so now, but wonder if I still have to pay the $40.00 monthly fee to Amazon during that time?

Yes you do. And, there have been stories of sellers that were on very long 'vacations' that had to resubmit their INFORM materials.
If you are going to suspend operations for many months drop down to individual status and save the $40/month.
In either case if you are out for a long time (no definition of 'long' from Amazon) be prepared to have to prove you are alive again when you come back!

Boy howdy. Youre lucky they don't charge you for vacation mode.

I did go on vacation mode for over three months. It was really nice taking a vacation from Amazon. Then, even though I was still paying the monthly fee, they shut me down and I had to re-apply as if I was a new seller. Really a supreme hassle getting things going again, taking another couple of months. It was like they didn't recognize me after almost 20 years.

Do not recommend vacation. What about zero out your inventory. Anyone ever try that.
Just a thought.

I have no problem with vacation mode...In fact it may increase sales by rejiggering your listings on the servers...(urban legend) lol
