Invalid Charge Method - Restricted Amazon Account
Hello,
I need your help, because based on the case I opened on the help page, they are not able to help me. I have an open case ID: 14772838491 (I ask you to please read the entire case), but I am writing here in the hope that someone can help me, I have orders that I cannot send, I need assistance urgently.
Everything was fine with my account until I had to add a new card (MasterCard), the same as the old one. After several attempts to associate the card, they all gave me "Invalid Charge Method", I haven't had access to my account since February 13th. From what I've been reading here this problem is common.
I have contacted my bank numerous times and everything is ok on their part, the card has the necessary authorizations to allow Amazon to associate it.
On February 15th, I added a new billing address (the same as the one I have on my account), and tried again to add my card to my US Amazon account. After that I called my bank to see what was the status of amazon small amount transaction (1.09€, the one that AMZ use to validate the card), and now it was approved (17:51 CET), but now I now have the amount of €1.09 "pending" in my bank account.
Nevertheless, on Amazon Charge Methods page, the status is still “Unable to charge We are not able to charge your account.”, is this normal?
I think this is already a problem with you internally at Amazon, I ask that you urgently pass my case on internally as I no longer know what to do anymore.
Let me know if you need further info on my side
I need urgent help, please!!
Many thanks

Hi @Seller_bA18uWBVJasf3,
Steve from Amazon here, thank you for reaching out. I have reviewed your account and do see that a valid charge method needs to be added. I see that Seller Support has engaged the proper team in case 14772838491 to troubleshoot this issue further and they are actively working this. We will need to allow that investigation to complete before I can determine next steps available.
Please let me know if this case is resolved without resolution. In the meantime, I am providing some additional information below regarding credit cards. Please consider these when determining if a credit card is valid.
- Is the credit card valid?
- Is there a minimum charge amount?
- Are you using a pre-paid card? (Note: Use of a pre-paid card is not accepted for a selling account.)
- Does the bank have a record of the charge attempt?
- Are there bank limits or policies that prevent the charge attempt from being authorized?
- Is there any incorrect credit card information entered? (Note: All the credit card information entered such as number, name, address, ZIP code, or expiration date must be an exact match with your card details.)
- Is this chargeable in the currency of the Amazon marketplace where you registered your seller account?
Thank you,
Steve
