How to handle
How would you handle this?
Return Reason:
Didn't approve purchase
Buyer Comment:
Wife didn't let
This looks to us like the customer is saying his wife did not let him keep it? They used Did not approve purchase as a return reason. Its a several hundred dollar item that weighs 75lbs, so it would seem they did not want to pay the return shipping. We have not yet issued the refund, if we do we are unable to file a Safe-T claim. Any thoughts on how to proceed?

figure a 20% restock fee plus the return shipping label cost. (so maybe a 40-50% restock fee)
Absolutely no reason to give these lying scammers a free ride.

Hi @Seller_YbIXeip2vhWR9,
Even if an item requires Return Authorization, sellers must still comply with the Amazon Returns Policy. Meaning, if the return has been submitted within the policy window, it should be accepted.
As @Seller_WAZNnMBpd99sI pointed out, if the item is not returned to you in original condition then you may charge a restocking fee based on these guidelines.
However, if the item is returned to you in original condition and the return was requested within the policy window then a full refund would be appropriate here. Again, the Amazon Returns Policy is expected to be followed even if the return requires authorization.
If this return has been submitted outside of the policy return window then it is up to you whether or not out would like to accept the return.
