Buyer choose the wrong return reason to avoid paying return shipping costs
According to Amazon policy, shipping costs are borne by the buyer when the buyer unilaterally doesn't want it.
I have a just shipped order(in transit), and buyer want to cancel the order, and she initiated a return. Return reason is Product damaged, but shipping box OK.
In this situation, we sellers will pay for return shipping. However, this is inconsistent with the actual situation. Buyers seem to have learned how to lie to avoid their responsibilities.
What can i do? Please help.

Other than not selling on Amazon, there is nothing you can do.

Hello @Seller_7ksAtfeKUR48g
Have you considered asking this customer, who wants to cancel an order still in transit to simply refuse delivery. Most of the carriers will then return the package to the sender under the same tracking. Thus, there is no new charge for return shipping, and you can track the return on its way back to you. Just a thought. I worked in Amazon Customer Service for a time, and this was how we handled orders that were FBA and then later I believe I remember that we made this option available to our third party sellers.
Thanks, Susan
