Packages delivered but not received?
Lately, I've been getting a lot of customers saying they never received their package even though USPS marked them Delivered. A few were also delayed in transit and one sent back to sender. I've never had this issue since opening my shop but it seems to be happening all at once for the month of July. Is this happening to anyone else?

And in case anyone is wondering, I did purchase all of my labels thru Amazon.

If you fulfill orders yourself (rather than FBA), when you ship the item you have two choices:
Enter a tracking number from a label you purchased elsewhere (either online, or at the post office/USP/FedEx store)
or
Buy a label using Amazon's "Buy Shipping", which automatically enters the tracking info, and provides coverage in cases of Item not Received complaints.

Then it's simple; instruct the customers to file an A-Z for Item Not Received and let Amazon handle it.
(this is assuming that besides buying the label on Amazon, you shipped on time and have a scan showing that you did so)

most of the time its the customer lying and scamming to get free items. Before you give anything away for free, double check, investigate with the carrier first. If the carrier has proof of successfully delivered then the customer is lying. Tell them to go file an A TO Z claim for item not received. When amazon sees you shipped on time and purchased the shipping on the platform- your claims protected= you shouldn't lose.
customers will forever lie. Always look for the proof.

This has happened to me up to 4 times in 1 day. 4 different customers, allllllll lied. One even made up a CRAZY story about how they have VIDEO FOOTAGE of a government postal USPS worker putting in the package in the mailbox and then removing it, as if the mail man was the one stealing packages! I responded by asking the customer to send the video footage because we show successfully delivery- so we can help you.
and guess what???? POOF! The customer backed off and disappeared. I sent him message template asking for the video so we can help him- for the next week and GUESS WHAT??? He never responded back with the so called video. So no free stuff for him. People have huge audacity now a days. Always look for the proof.

If you shipped it on promisse time and get there on promisse time, just open SAFE-T CLAIM and that's all.

We get at least one a day and it's only on Amazon.
We used to contact the carrier for these to see what the trend was and USPS verified via Geo Location the packages were delivered at the correct address. Some they even described what the recipient was doing when they delivered it into the mailbox or hand-delivered (mowing their lawn, washing their car).
It's 80% an Amazon thing where Amazon has trained buyers to scam and 20% a USPS thing where USPS legitimately just outright sucks and they really did not deliver it correctly.
This is the main reason we use the Buy Shipping services. When the customers contact us, we have a templated reply directing them to file an A-Z claim. 2 out of 10 will actually file the claim and we've even seen Amazon deny the customer.
Aside from the not received, we got one today where the buyer claimed the package was opened with no contents. While we certainly believe that could happen, the order was delivered almost three months ago and we 'should' be protected by a claim. The Buy Shipping service is probably the one and only great thing Amazon has done over the past few years and we use it to our full advantage for this common problem.

I've been facing exactly the same "package didn't arrive" issue since the last week of July. 100% of my shipping labels are purchased on Amazon Platform and ALL, again ALL of those client's tracking numbers showed delivered on time at their addresses. I've also noticed all of those tracking numbers were from USPS. I'm sorry to say but Amazon for such a long time issued all customer's refund immediately without any questioning delivery status. Now, we as FBM sellers have this great opportunity to regulate the market and politely educate these buyers to "stop scamming". On our end, my team and I have a gentil templated reply directing the buyers to file an A-Z claim and let Amazon handles it. Hope this helps!

Yes, same here. It's the new way of using Amazon to legally shoplift free products. Amazon pays them even though it isn't counted against me, which has literally trained customers to steal. Happens way too often now. Customers learn policies and there are even tiktoks and youtube videos explaing in full detail how to steal on Amazon. Why Amazon wants to literally buy theives is beyond me. If Amazon would stop paying them when they say it didn't arrive, it would stop quickly. The more they do it, the more it's going to happen, and often.
