credit card as a payment method

Hello, I have a problem when I want to use a credit card as a payment method.

I do:

Account info > Payment Information > Charge Methods > Replace Charge Methods > Set Charge Method.

I get: Unable to charge. We are not able to charge your account. Assign a valid charge method to restore full access to your seller account.

This card run ok in other place. But here it is not ok.

I speak with support a lot of time about this but they never solve it. What else do I have to do?

Try adding it to your BUYER side account first. Not having it there has been known to cause 'issues.'

THEN -- is it a credit card or is it a debit card? Despite Amazon having changed the language in the policies to permit debit cards it is still 'problematic' and does NOT work all the time with a debit card.

The ONLY consistency on Amazon is INconsistency.

Hi @Seller_M0hAIaR4JdPtw,

Steve from Amazon here, thank you for reaching out. Please see below for a list to check when determining if your credit card will be accepted. If you are attempting to add a debt card it may not be accepted.

Credit Card

  • Is the credit card valid?
  • Is there a minimum charge amount?
  • Are you using a pre-paid card? (Note: Use of a pre-paid card is not accepted for a selling account.)
  • Does the bank have a record of the charge attempt?
  • Are there bank limits or policies that prevent the charge attempt from being authorized?
  • Is there any incorrect credit card information entered? (Note: All the credit card information entered such as number, name, address, ZIP code, or expiration date must be an exact match with your card details.)
  • Is this chargeable in the currency of the Amazon marketplace where you registered your seller account?

After ensuring that the card is considered valid, please let me know if you continue to run into issues.

Thank you,

Steve
