Manufacturer barcode and Send to Amazon

Hi team,

New FBA seller here.

I didn't realise that my ASIN is automatically registered to manufacturer barcode and I am creating Send to Amazon workflow. Currently my packaging does not have any manufacturer barcode and I cannot edit the labelling to barcode by seller either in the workflow

Do I need to put sticker of manufacturer barcode? or can I just use my FNSKU label sticker instead on the packaging? Or is Amazon strict on using manufacturer barcode in receiving shipment?

You have asked a good question and my answer will not be sufficient as I am pretty sure everyone believes you must put a UPC code as your manufacturer barcode.

A FNSKU is, in fact, a manufacturer barcode.

I encourage you to confirm this with a moderator and not trust the strange man from the internet.

Hi there @Seller_LdNcdUM8aZoi2, thanks for the question as you start the FBA journey!

The simplest answer here would be to review the FBA product barcode requirements help page which details the three kinds of barcodes and how to go about using each. In your case you may wind up printing Amazon barcodes as described on that page, but I encourage you to review applicable to your situation and products!

Regards,
