Hi there @Seller_fWIVSzmbyAxJ1,
Thank you for utilizing the Seller Forums.
I understand your account has been deactivated due to being related to another account. I would like to provide you with insight into the associated policies in addition to your next steps.
Per Amazon's Seller Code of Conduct and Multiple Accounts policy, all sellers are expected to maintain only one selling account unless there is a legitimate business need to have multiple accounts. Such scenarios include being recruited for an Amazon program where there is a need for a new selling account creation or you have multiple brands which sell different items. Even when permitted to have multiple accounts, all must remain in active, good standing. If one of the accounts is not in good standing and becomes deactivated, all of the subsequent accounts will also be deactivated.
This type of connection can also occur when personal information is shared between two or more accounts. Such information can include but is not limited to phone numbers, e-mail addresses, business addresses, and even internet connection. Once two accounts have the same information on them, Amazon will automatically assume the accounts are owned by the same person or entity. At that time, the accounts become subject to the terms of the Code of Conduct and Multiple Accounts policy cited above.
In considering how your account became related to another, I suggest utilizing these questions:
- Do any of your family members, friends, employees, or coworkers who have a selling account?
- Have you ever worked with a third party?
- Have you allowed anyone to access your account?
- Do you share a computer or internet connection with anyone else who has a selling account?
Overall, you will want to understand how your account information or information from another account is present on both.
In order to show you are not related to this account or you do not have another account, you will want to provide business registration documentation, identity documents, and anything else that can show you only have one account. Prior to doing so, you will also want to check your account for any information that you do not recognize as being yours.
If you recognize the account, you will want to provide as much insight as possible to how the connection happened, who the account owner is, when the relationship first started and when it ended, and any supporting documentation to show how you are no longer related to the other account.
If this account does end up being one of yours or is someone's who you know, you will want to work to get the other account reactivated prior to the reactivation of this account.
Please feel free to see this page for more insight on addressing a Multiple Accounts policy violation, and do continue to utilize this thread in order for the community and I to further support you.
All the best,
Stevie
