Amazon Claimed They Could Not Charge My Card on File and They Couldn't Transfer My Fund to My Bank
I got an email from Amazon claiming that they couldn't charge my card on file, therefore, they wouldn't transfer my fund to my bank. But I asked my card company, and was told that my account was in good standing and Amazon never made an attempt to charge my card. I opened a case thru Seller Support. It's now over 12 hours and still hasn't gotten a response, NOT EVEN a canned response.
It sounded like cheap tactics to delay payment to merchant to me. Anyone else having the same problem?

Do you have a valid credit card on file? Credit -- not debit. That is mandatory.

About this --'It's now over 12 hours and still hasn't gotten a response, NOT EVEN a canned response. '
EVERYTHING is backed up due to all the INFORM 'stuff' and all the suspensions for people that simply can't be bothered to read any rules.
Amazon time is not anything close to what the rest of the world recognizes as a time frame. That 72 hours used so often by Amazon can be anywhere from three days to three weeks or even longer.
Honestly, for SOME things if anything less than two to three weeks is 'too long for waiting' you are going to have a very stressful AND disappointing time on Amazon.
They are well known for making a snail look fast.

Hello @Seller_lEPgv42Xh5qnI,
Thank you for reaching out. My apologies on the frustration this is causing. This is a very common issue among new sellers when signing up with Amazon. Amazon requires a real credit card, so not a debit or pre-paid card. Your financial institution may only allow your credit card to be used in certain countries. As a result, you may see the same credit card being honored by Amazon in some of our stores, but not in others. When you register in Amazon as a seller, it is necessary to enter an internationally chargeable credit card with a valid billing address located in an eligible country. Reach out to your financial institution to determine the countries your card is eligible to be used in. You can use different credit cards in various Amazon stores. For the list of accepted credit cards, go to Bank account and credit card information for your seller account.
Note: We do not accept alternative charge methods, such as prepaid credit cards, gift certificates, checks, or online payment systems like PayPal.
We accept the following credit cards:
- American Express
- Diners Club
- Discover
- JCB
- MasterCard
- Visa
Also note to make sure the buyer side is also updated with a real credit card, not just the seller side. Please let me know if you have additional questions. Here to help
Happy selling.
Cheers,
Micah
