Shipment changed form Working to Receiving but it was never shipped
Anybody have the issue where they create a shipment and before you get a chance to create the box contents Amazon changes the shipment from "Working" to "receiving"? I have seen some posts going back a year so I am hoping for a solution.
I created a shipment (FBA18HWK3K12 10-16-2024 Labeled, case ID 16522656141) on October 15, 2024. Amazon shows it as "Receiving" on October 19 with 97 units checked in. This shipment has never been shipped yet it is showing as delivered. This is the third time this has happened.
Last time this happen (9-10-2024, Case ID 16037613851), support said nothing can be done until the shipment is fully checked in. They said I can't open an investigation until 60 days pass. Meanwhile the shipment is in limbo. My only option seems to be to create a new shipment and just let the old one die. Not sure if Amazon will ended up charging me for not sending the shipment.
Any thoughts on how to prevent this? My current process is to create a shipment and determine the breakdown shipments using InventoryLab. My supplier then ships each shipment to me to be labeled and then I send them it to Amazon. This result in a 7 day gap from the time I create the shipment and I ship it. In this case, Amazon decided it was shipped and delivered sometime within 3 days of its creation.

Looks like it has been fix. Funny how last time they said it was impossible but this time it was. Still would love to know how to avoid this in the future.

Do not assume this has been fixed -- this issue has continually popped up randomly for months and has never been fully addressed. It just occurred again in the last few days on 2 shipments.

We have had similar issues -- one shipment around Oct 20th when we completed the shipment, APC UPS provided a tracking label for a box that was ALREADY USED -- the tracking code tracked as received by Amazon days before the shipment had even been created.
Since last week we have had 3 shipment failures -- one shipment we were able to close but no tracking info and when we print the labels, only FBA center labels come out -- no UPS labels (this is APC UPS)
The other 2 shipments are changing to RECEIVING or DELIVERED before they are even closed out... we are still in the packing process... no box information has been provided.
These issues are getting worse -- and when we open cases the issues are either randomly fixed or we are told to delete and create new shipments. These issues never seem resolved.
On top of that, there is a looming deadline of late December to switch to yet a new API that has all kinds of issues.
