Seeking Clarification for New Seller Approval to Sell Dietary Supplements on Amazon

Hello,

I am a new seller and brand owner with my own supplement formula. I am in the process of filing a trademark and in the product development stages. I am working with a few manufacturers who state that they are able to provide the Amazon required NSF certifications and COA per manufactured product. However, I am seeing that new and existing sellers are being rejected under the following:

Other Health & Personal Care category in Used, Refurbished, Collectible condition(s)

Other Human Ingestible Products in New, Used, Refurbished, Collectible condition(s)

At this point, is it possible to open a new supplement brand on Amazon?

Can new sellers still get approved?

Best Regards,

E

"Can new sellers still get approved? "

Maybe, maybe not. You may have to wait until you have a real brand -- meaning having a TM.

See this thread that discusses the situation --

“As part of our ongoing efforts to provide the best possible customer experience, Amazon has implemented additional restrictions for Ingestible Brands, a.k.a dietary supplements. Unfortunately, we are not accepting applications for ingestible brands at this time.

If you feel that the categorization is wrong, please reach out to Seller Support so they can investigate this for you. If you are able to get this re-categorized, please provide me with the new case ID so I can look into this further for you.

If you are a brand owner, you can also reach out to Brand Registry Support and ask them to approve you within the Health & Personal Care category, which will allow you to list those products.

Regards,

- Manny”

I take the liberty (and beg you pardon for this) to express my opinion. It looks like you did not yet order these products. If I am right, do you really want to lose your money? Did you check how many results show up on .com for your future main keyword? Supplements is the most competitive market, PPC costs are insane and you need several tens of thousands just for ads to reach the first five pages. Do you want to do that? If yes, and you have a big wallet, go on. If instead, you want to invest in a niche you KNOW something about, your success would be more possible.

Hello @Seller_1jmBa98V1X5UW,

This situation has been coming up often on the forums in which sellers are getting the notification: "We are not accepting applications to sell: Other Human Ingestible products in New, Used, Refurbished, Collectible condition(s)," and in previous escalations I have seen success with clearing this process in sellers who are Brand Registered and are approved to sell in the Health & Personal Care or Pet Supplies categories.

If you would like to learn more about Brand Registry and complete your application, feel free to check out this link -->HERE<--
