Incorrect Categorization as a Medical Device

Dear Amazon Community,

We have a case (ID: 16550085861) related to a product that was mistakenly classified as a medical device due to certain keywords in our catalog. We promptly revised the listing on October 26 to remove any terminology that might suggest the product is a medical device, ensuring full compliance with non-medical classification requirements.

However, it has been quite some time since we submitted the revisions, and the case status remains "Pending Amazon Action." We have not received any feedback or updates.

Could you kindly advise on the best course of action to expedite the process?

Additionally, is it permissible to delete the current listing and create a new one with the updated content to avoid further delays?

We greatly appreciate your guidance and support.

Many thanks

Hello @Seller_vrezo2lTJTxNp,

Thank you for contacting Amazon Forums.

I have reviewed the case, and found that it was resolved 5 days ago, indicating that the team started the process to reinstate your ASIN. When checking your inventory, the product is shown as active, so we can conclude this is resolved now.

In regard to the question: is it permissible to delete the current listing and create a new one with the updated content to avoid further delays? We don't recommend doing this, because even if you delete the listing, the information linked to this will remain in the system, so, when trying to re-add it, it will bring the details you needed to correct. The best way to resolve this is what you did, work along with Amazon on performing the requested modifications.

Do not hesitate in reaching out if you have further questions.
