Received an email for aged inventory for a listing that is less than 100 days old

Hello,

I received an email from Amazon services last week in which a list of ASIN(s) were provided saying that all these listings were created more than 180 days and have not made a single sale in the past 365 days or since the creation of the listing. They haven't made a sale yet which is true, but none of those listings were more than 120 days old and I was hoping to sell them through during the holiday period. An addition to that email was where I was instructed to remove the excess inventory or Amazon will dispose them at my expense. The information in the email is contradicting itself because those listing are not 180 days old and to begin with I have less than10 units for most ASIN(s).

Has anyone had the similar experience because I'm confused at this point whether to create the removal order or not? I tried contacting the seller support and they are absolutely helpless which is when I understood the frustration of so many people here. I created a case asking what's going on with these ASIN(s) and a simple question 'Should I create a removal order or ignore the email?' and both the times a VERY GENERIC TEMPLATED REPLY from the seller support saying 'we have completed the investigation and found no issues with the listing'. There is no problem with the listing, it's just the question whether I should create the removal order or not and I'm back at the square one even after contacting the seller support a couple of times.

Any information if someone had a similar issue in the past would be helpful!

@Ricardo_Amazon Can you please look into this ? The case id is 15948476881

Best regards

You can take a look at the creation date (Listing Status column) on the Manage Inventory page for those ASIN's to see if that's where amazon is getting bad info.

I received a similar message. Amazon listed about 15 ASIN's, and they were all created recently - within the last 90 days. I'm not going to take any action and see what happens.

Hello @Seller_6YpfG4HFROE7R,

Ricardo from Amazon.

Good idea reaching out to Seller Support, in there you have evidence that Amazon has instructed you that everything is ok.

I encourage to everyone facing this situation to do the same. Perhaps the email was sent in error, but having a back up would be easier to justify a reimbursement.
