You need approval to list in the Grocery & Gourmet Foods category limitation

I am new to Amazon. My brand has been approved. I've added my product and need approval to list in the grocery & gourmet foods category. I see the limitation but am I waiting on Amazon to request documentation? Am I supposed to download specific documentation? I am unable to proceed. What is my next step?

Grocery has been closed off for quite a while. When you say "your brand was approved" do you mean you manufacture a food item or you are rebranding something? If you produce a food product you might be able to get in but even then its a crap shoot as to if they will allow it to be added.

Hello @Seller_lAeLwjaghMY3U- and welcome to the seller forums! Thanks for sharing this post so we might be of some assistance.

The other seller in the thread is correct that registering a brand, or receiving approval to list branded products, are separate approval processes than receiving the category approval from Amazon to list in a given category, or sub-category. The above help page has plenty of info, but let me know any questions that might arise.

I'll also include this page specific to Grocery and Gourmet foods, which shares certain account-level thresholds that have to be me in order to receive approval from Amazon, though it's important to note that Amazon cannot share all factors that are involved in such decisions.

When you look to list a product within a category, the system should prompt you to apply for category approval in cases where a selling account is not already approved. If this isn't the case, I would recommend connecting with our support teams for more technical troubleshooting. If you've already done so, feel free to share your case ID with me so I can take a closer look at the particulars!

Thank again for the post, and I do hope this helps!

Best,

Danny
