Switching Out UPC Codes - GS1 Complaint
Hello,
I am in desperate need of some help here from the Amazon community. I have been hired on board to manage my companies Amazon account. When these products were originally set up (not me) they were not using GS1 company registered UPC codes.
About 6 months ago, Amazon hit 6 of our products with a non-GS1 compliant violation and blocked those listings. I have since generated new barcodes for ALL of my products. I am having a terrible time trying to get these new barcodes switched out to the new ones.
I do NOT want to create all new listings, I just need to switch out the UPC. Brand registry has already seen my GS1 certificate and have already associated my company to these new barcodes. Has anyone had this problem before and know how to fix it?

"I do NOT want to create all new listings, I just need to switch out the UPC."
What YOU want and what Amazon says can be done are polar opposites.
When you go to your inventory management pages you will see the 'lock' on the "External Product ID" or whatever section they have for the UPC Number, ISBN, EAN, etc.
It can't be changed because the product history is for the OLD non GS1 product. The NEW GS1 product is a new item as far as Amazon is concerned.
If you have opened any cases provide a number so any MOD that happens to drop by can look it over to see if they can help.
Without a case number in the posts it wastes time for everyone. I no longer tag anyone if there is no case #.
They have to ask for it and then wait for a reply from the poster and then the poster has to wait again for the MOD to find the case, and then more waiting.…

Hi there @Seller_ql00rl6ArMbLt,
In general if the products were created using invalid UPCs, the only option will be to create new ASINs for the product as the current ASINs are invalid. Amazon generally doesn't allow UPCs to be switched out in this way. If you provide your most recent Case ID I can review to see what options exist, however it may require you create new ASINs.
Thank you for your understanding.
