Brand update to existing ASIN
My past few months on Amazon have been terrible. The customer service on the platform is probably ranked the worst I have ever had to encounter in my life. Being constantly shuffled to overseas agents who are only operating on boiler plate language with an extreme need to close a case without fully reading or understanding is frustrating.
I created listings before my brand was registered. My brand became registered. I tried to update the brand name, but they told me I had to send the inventory back to myself and delete the listing (to create a new one). I deleted the listing. I attempted to create a new listing, but I am unable to add the correct brand name because once I enter the UPC, it reverts back to the old listing.
To note - When I created my brand, Amazon updated 2 of products but did not update the other two. They gave really strange reasons why they wouldn't update the other 2 but continued to send me through hurdles and loops that did not exist for the first 2 products
I have opened over 30 cases related to this matter on multiple accounts and no one is providing the correct steps or guidance. I am just tired. This has cost me thousands of dollars (sending inventory back to myself) and I feel like Amazon is using me to make money without me actually selling my product

Unless you're a Chinese vendor, who magically has so much power over Amazon's databases they can change brand names on listings that aren't even theirs (which they do every single day) or very wealthy enough to just be given an exception, like Facebook, Amazon does not allow you to rebrand anything.

Did you leave the listing deleted for 24+ hours? I'd give it more like 48 tbh. It usually still doesn't work, but you need to give it time to fully process the deletion across all of their edge servers.
Don't reuse the UPC, but use the same ASIN, and it's supposed to pull your sales history and reviews. Supposed to.

Hello,
Amazon has strict rules when it comes to brand names. When they request a new one, it means creating an entirely new product with a new UPC. Updating a brand name is quite challenging. I managed to do it when the brand name didn't change significantly. For instance, if your brand name was AWSome-Headphones and you successfully registered AWSome-Headphones Electronics, they may allow the addition of the new term. However, if the change is to PERFECK-Headphones, they will not allow it.
I recommend you keep trying if you already have a successful listing with many reviews. However, if you are just launching the product, consider using a new UPC. This case is one of the toughest on Amazon. If you are in the SAS Core Program, request your Account Manager to help in you, they have direct contact with the Technical Team.

That's because your actual UPCs are related to YOUR name and your OLD brand. Buy new UPCs to your name and your NEW brand name.
You deal with seller support, not customer service. You are a seller, not a customer.
Not only this is not helpful, because each case will put your issue back in the line again - this is also against the TOS. Amazon can suspend your seller account for creating too many cases.
No one of seller support can help you, no matter how many cases you create. You have to buy NEW UPCs from GS1 correctly attributed to your NEW brand name and create new listings.
Are these YOUR accounts? If yes, you are at high risk of suspension.

You are not alone. I had a very similar situation. Some of my old listings actually got updated to the new registered brand. Like 2 out of 50 products. For some of the best ones, I just gave up and created new ASIN's with new GS1 UPC's. Of course we lost thousands of good reviews, but you have to do what you have to do.

- You must not use an existing listing for a new version of a product. This includes changes in color, size, material, features, and product name. Instead, create a new product detail page for each new version. For example, a manufacturer updates its streaming media player by adding a new remote control with four buttons instead of two. This product is materially different from the older version and it must be listed as a new ASIN.
- If you choose to re-brand a product, please refer to Amazon Brand Name Policy page for minor Brand name changes. Any major Brand Name change requests are considered re-branding and will not be supported. To protect Customer trust and ensure catalog quality, we ask that you create a new ASIN for the new product.
