Shipment ''has checked in'' while still in transit ? Help please
Hello,
Regarding shipment ID : FBA17NW72PLL. Seller Support is unable to help so I am looking for additional feedback from sellers or a forum moderator to help.
Although the shipment FBA17NW72PLL is marked as ''checked in'' by Amazon, in reality, this shipment is still in transit to the destination in Calgary. I just verified with the LTL carrier.
This shipment on Amazon shows ''Checked in'' on January 22th at the Brampton FC, a different Fulfillment center. The real destination is Calgary. Only 1 unit scanned on 7000 and at the wrong FC, so I am guessing it is an error on Amazon side, some form of glitch when they found a lost unit in Brampton.
Since the LTL carrier confirmed the shipment is still in transit and not delivered, will my LTL carrier be able to schedule an appointment when the shipment really arrives in Calgary? I fear that the Amazon appointment system will block my carrier given that Amazon changed the status to ''checked in''.
Amazon seller support keep closing the case as ''the shipment cannot be investigated before date X''. I am not asking for missing unit reconciliation. There is a problem above that.
They fail to understand that I am trying to prevent an issue that could cost me alot, thousands of dollars of shipping, and thousands to return if Amazon refuse to provide an appointment in a few days. It is not my fault at all.
Thank you

Hello @Seller_xJx7vH6fvZFD9,
Thank you for contacting Amazon Forums!
I understand your situation about your shipment FBA17NW72PLL. I have reviewed your cases with seller support and it is important to understand that at this moment we cannot start and investigation yet until the shipment has arrived at the Amazon fulfillment center and the shipment is fully processed.
After your shipment has arrived at an Amazon fulfillment center, the Contents tab on the Shipment summary page will display the status of the units as they are received. If there are any differences between what you have sent in the shipment and what is received, use the tools within the Contents tab to:
- Get detailed information about discrepancies between your shipping plan and what the fulfillment center received
- Provide more information about the shipment contents
- Request an investigation into missing or unexpected items
Reconciliation of shipped inventory usually takes 2 to 30 days. In some cases, it will take up to 60 days. You can track the status of your shipment in the Shipping Queue with the status cycling through In Transit, Delivered, Checked-In, Receiving, and finally Closed.
Once shipment is eligible, you can follow the next steps:
Step 1: View discrepancies and request research
View the Units located messages
View the Status messages
Request research
Step 2: Upload documents
Step 3: Provide additional information
Step 4: Preview and submit your request
To learn more about this topic you can go Reconcile your shipment article which contains above information and much more.
I hope this information helps.
Kind Regards,
Josh_Amazon
