How to ask Amazon to return sellable inventory to my address?
Hi Sellers,
I have a quick question - some of my returned products are sellable and returned to inventory for re-selling, however, I still want to check whether the product is actually "sellable" to customers myself.
I called Amazon Seller Support but I was told that I cannot ask Amazon to send those sellable & returned-to-inventory products back to me, is this true? How are you all dealing with this issue?

A more experienced seller can probably better assist you but from my modest experience only "unsellable" inventory can be returned to you. If a returned inventory is sellable then it will be returned to inventory.
Go to Setting > Fulfillment by Amazon, I don't see an option for sellable returns. But I do for unfulfillable inventory, "Automated unfulfillable settings".
I have seen lots of negative reviews about receiving used items as new and most likely they are "returned to inventory" inventory.
Hope this helps

That is Correct, there is no way to ask Amazon to send you back sellable inventory , in my product line we have a big problem , we sell sterling silver jewelry and if not packed right it tarnishes , it’s all about packaging when its bought as a gift, the way customers repack for a return it’s a mess and in some cases customers send back old and different products, it’s a really big problem from every aspect, I have tried for years to change that without luck , also don’t forget the negatives reviews your products will get when a customer gets it looking like a disaster
If you find a solution, please let me know to
Thanks

I suggest you package the product so that it takes a chain saw, side grinder, and hedge clippers to open it. That way, when it is returned, it is obvious that the customer opened the package.

For any product with fully available inventory, you can create a "removal order" and have the units returned to you. You do, however, have to pay a modest fee. Hope this helps!

Currently, there is no way of doing that. I have the same concern. My FBA rep told me that they are working on the option for sellers to sign up so that all FBA returns are shipped by customers to sellers, not back to FBA warehouses. I have no idea when this option will become available, but I will be first to sign up.
