If yes, do they need to be already palletized?

Amazon won't pick them up. They also won't pay any of the duties or fees.
If you ship straight to amazon you will have no proof that your product is actually in the boxes, that the box count is correct or that the product is labeled correctly. All things there are multiple posts about along with the headaches and fees to correct the issues.
