Customer damaged, and customer is God

FBA Orders returned but are damaged by customers (according the FBA returns report. And we as a seller, who did nothing wrong but we take all the loss? This is so unfair and ridiculous.

I am staying away from FBA.

Walmart, Costco, Target, Home Depot, Best Buy, Sears, all the big box stores have no questions asked returned policies.

Amazon is the same. It shows as customer damaged because the packaging is damaged that they can't sell it as "Brand New" again because the customer has used the item or damaged the packaging.

You will have to do a removal order and send them back in as Used - Like new condition.

Hello,

We had a product listed as "customer damaged", so we recalled it back to our warehouse. It turned out that the customer didn't damage it at all. We had marked the box "new style" in sharpie in our own warehouse because it was the new version of something in a very similar box. Later we sent it to Amazon, they sent it to a customer, the customer bought it by mistake (there was an even newer one at that point), and returned it and Amazon put it aside for that reason.

AlLWAYS have "customer damaged" items shipped back to you. Most of them are not damaged at all, and Amazon is just putting them aside out of caution.

I had same issue and I did contact Amazon to clarify this. When it comes to referal fee, they say they are Amazon's customers. But when it comes to loss, Amazon is not reday to take losses due to their own customers. We ship products in good sellable condition. If this become unsellable due to customers damage then Amazon should share this loss with sellers being honest.

On the order of relevance in Amazon world you have:

1. Customer

2. Amazon

3. Dog xxxx

20. 3P Sellers

Once you accept this you will be able to sleep well at night.
