FBA Customer Damaged Returns are atrocious
A vent about FBA customer returns being a source of extreme frustration.
I just received a customer damaged item and the buyer clearly replaced the new unit they bought with a unit they have owned for some time. The returned unit is very dirty, the chrome on the brand lettering is wearing off and one of the components is scratched and cracked from heavy use... just ridiculous that Amazon accepts anything as a return...
I get this part of selling FBA, but it really makes you wonder about people... I had another return where someone literally poked a hole through the factory seal on a liquid item, used about 5%, then returned it. Or the return where someone took a cable out of the box and returned it, and now it's customer damage and I eat the losses. The stories are endless.

I saw couple of postings like this. Seems as FBA, sellers eat the losses all the time. It is a waste of time opening cases, agents always copy and paste, no one cares about how ridiculous the returned items are. So no high-end items selling on Amazon.

Hello, @Seller_LBNcwL9dKwXun,
Thank you for bringing your concern to the Forums. This is Sunnie, from Amazon.
I understand how this can be upsetting and how it affects your business. One of your colleagues already referred to this topic in a very straight and simple explanation in this other post:
Customer damaged, and customer is God
