Can i buy my products on amazon.com ?

Hello. I hope you guys are doing fine. We are new in this business and we are trying to sell on Amazon.co.uk. There is a problem. I can't trust any suppliers. Like i said, we are new in this e-commerce and we don't want to screw our chance to make business with Amazon. We know that our products must be authentic. So a team member of ours came with an idea. I don't know if it is logical but hear me out. Lets say that we have a warehouse in NJ and we buy our products on Amazon. Is it possible doing it? Like, we will send the orders through our warehouse. It pretty much looks like drop shipping. My point is, we will buy a lot of products from Amazon and sell them in UK. The products will not go to the customer directly. We will buy it, it will come to our warehouse and we will package it and we will be identified as the seller of tje products on all package slip, invoices etc. I need your opinion on this and i need you to guide us in this business. Thank you a lot.

If you can't trust your suppliers, you need new suppliers.

Buying from Amazon will still not give you a trusted supplier; worse, if there are any issues, you will not have any of the documentation that Amazon is likely to ask for.

Also, after paying full retail, then shipping and import tariffs to get to the UK, how will you make a profit?

No you cannot do this. This is not a Supply Chain process that Amazon will allow. You must have proper invoices from approved distributors or the manufacturer.

I will be a bit more direct and to the point than @Seller_nRFmxiQg4EGrw and @Seller_Z94U2smN0QDFk have been.

If you insist on not listening and actually source from Amazon just start writing your "please help with my Section 3 suspension' letter right now. You WILL need it very quickly.

AMAZON is NOT an authorized wholesale distributor of ANYTHING.

They give you RECEIPTS, not invoices. You will have no proof of authenticity, no chain of custody, and most importantly, NO letter of authorization giving you permission from the BRAND to sell the products.

HINT -- VACATION MODE NOW!

Since you don't appear to have done that so far, PLEASE pay attention to the following:

Here are the NEW rules for selling on the ‘new and improved’ Amazon.

The first question is -- Are you authorized IN WRITING by the BRAND to sell their items on Amazon? That means from the BRAND, not some random wholesale source that can NOT authorize anything – they only SELL.

More and more brands have provided a "whitelist" of their approved sellers and if YOU are NOT on the list you will be stopped in your tracks and probably hit with an IP violation.

The second (and probably more important) question is -- Where are you sourcing your products? Are you buying direct from the brand or through an AUTHORIZED wholesale source?

AMAZON IS NOT ONE OF THOSE SOURCES!

Have you verified with the BRAND that your distributor IS an authorized wholesale distributor for ALL of their products. Some wholesalers are only allowed to distribute portions of a product line.

NOTE – FOR 'GATED' CATEGORIES' DOING RA IS NOT PERMITTED ON AMAZON. PERIOD. If you have to 'apply to sell' you WILL need an INVOICE from an AUTHORIZED distributor and not a receipt.

Hey there @Seller_pDlLfxCnGz5Fb- I appreciate you floating this idea here on the seller forums! I'll echo the comments from the other sellers in the thread and confirm this is not a supported pathway, particularly as there would not be a method for obtaining and providing proper documentation to Amazon.

You might be interested in watching this helpful video which covers how to appropriately source products for sale, but please do let me know what other questions you may have on the topic.

Thanks again!
