removal orders

Hi all,

We need to close our listings and have our inventory returned to us. Is it recommended to create removal orders prior to closing the listings?

Thanks

Hi @Seller_lRz8KC6LXz9y8,

I can help you with the right sequence for closing your listings and getting your inventory back.

First, you'll want to submit your removal orders. According to the removal order overview page, these orders can take quite a while to process - up to 90 days plus an additional two weeks for delivery. The good news is that once you create a removal order, you won't be charged storage fees during the processing period.

You can create removal orders in a few different ways. The simplest method is through Manage Inventory (you'll find the detailed steps under "Create a removal order" at this help page). Just select your items and choose "Create removal order" from the Actions menu.

After submitting your removal orders, you can then close your listings. This part is pretty straightforward - there's a nice guide at the Stop Selling help page. The nice thing about closing (rather than deleting) your listings is that you'll keep your sales history, and you can always reactivate them later if you want to.

One important thing to keep in mind - even after you create removal orders, your inventory can still be purchased until it's physically removed from the fulfillment center. That's why it's good to close your listings once you've submitted the removal orders.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Best regards, Michael
