Amazon Enables Buyer Fraud
Amazon Seller support has acted like an enabler, allowing a buyer to steal from us. Here is the breakdown of how this happened - Sellers Beware!
1. Buyer orders a Milwaukee nailer from us about a month ago and we ship it to them
2. Buyer contacts us through Amazon email to say that they received the nailer and it is not working
3. No Problem!, nailer is covered by return policy, so we ask them to open a return. Buyer emails us for over a week saying that they need us to send them a return label, we explain multiple times that we can't just send them a label and they can open a return and get a return label. We try multiple ways to communicate with the buyer and even tried to get them to call us so we could send them a label directly through their email. Buyer NEVER opens a return.
4. After another 2 weeks of silence, buyer opens an A-Z claim and says THEY NEVER RECEIVED THE NAILER.
5 We immediately respond and document that the buyer did receive the nailer by their own admission but needed to return it. Amazon Seller Support can SEE all the emails between the buyer and us.
6. Amazon grants the buyer the claim and refunds them out of our account over $300. The A-Z claim department sends us an email saying that we did NOT respond to the claim which is why they granted this.
7 I then spend countless hours on hold and submitting emails about how this was not accurate, and I have all the documentation. I appeal the A-Z claim decision
8 Well, yesterday, Amazon sent us a cute little email saying the following:
"Hello,We have reviewed the buyer’s claim and the information you provided for order 114-7525445-2360252.Although we understand your position, we stand by our decision. Thank you.-Amazon"
This is so ridiculous!! Amazon can see the buyer first said they received the nailer and wanted to return it, and then said they never received it. They can see our responses. They just do not care!!
Anyway - I have every belief that this buyer worked the Amazon A-Z claim in order to defraud us. This buyer had no intention of opening a return and only claimed to be having an issue. They then opened the A-Z claim knowing there was a high probability that Amazon would give them the money and decide in their favor.
What a scam, and Amazon Seller Support is in on it.
So this buyer has a brand new working Milwaukee finish nailer for free. I think I might be in the wrong business. I should just set up shop and work Amazon Seller Support to get things for free!!!!

did you buy shipping on amazon, get an acceptance scan on or before the last ship date provided by Amazon, are your templates set to provide protection?

Hello @Seller_aXcsXX0y6Tp8t
Thanks for contacting Amazon Forums. Could you please share the case number you opened with the seller support team regarding this issue so I can review it?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Have a great day!

With any buyer fraud, either they say they never received it even though you already have the tacking and the gps data, Amazon refunnds the buyers . Also some buyers go to their credit card companies like they never made the purchase but miraculously the package goes to their address, we face chargebacks. We always make sure all these are reported with their name and Amazon as the enabler to reportfraud.ftc.org. Today we are reporting another one. It is important that every seller does this especially when you have all the proof that you received the order on Amazon , shipped it , and the order got delivered. This will eventually be stopped. This is no different than looting , or shoplifting. These online scammers need to be held repsonsible as well as Amazon
