🚨 UPS Cancelling Amazon FBA Pickups Without Notice?! Anyone Else Affected Today? 😢
Hopefully the info I got is wrong so I wanted to check if anyone else is experiencing this.
I scheduled a UPS pickup yesterday for my FBA shipment today, as usual.
This morning, my regular UPS driver—who’s super nice and always reliable—called me saying there was no pickup request in their system for my address, which almost never happens. I was surprised because I always take a screenshot of my confirmation number, which I gave to him right away.
He checked with his supervisor and shared some unexpected news: starting today, all on-call pickup requests across Canada are being cancelled without notice.
I currently have $15,000 worth of inventory sitting in my garage, all ready to go with UPS shipping labels I’ve already paid for. And now I’m being told these shipments can’t be picked up.
Has anyone else encountered this today? Is this a nationwide issue, or is there some kind of misunderstanding?
I really cannot deal with this right now on top of all tyhe problem caused by the Canada Post's situation...

We don't use UPS so can't comment on them specifically, but we use Purolator and today we were unable to schedule a pickup. No reasoning, just "Pickup requests are unavailable at this time".
Might be due to increased volume from the Canada Post strike. Our Canpar driver told us he had to work weekends to catch up with volume.

It's a nationwide issue. UPS is now full due to the excess parcel volume for the Canada Post Strike. Not to mention the horrible weather delays back east compounding the issue.
We can not even buy labels for our FBM shipments domestically via UPS today until Friday, and since they don't allow same day standard pickup, that means pickup won't resume until Monday so they have some time to flush the current volume of parcels out of their system.

Cutoff time is 11AM for purolator now. It was 1PM, then 12PM, now 11AM due to the Canada Post strike parcel volumes.
You can still schedule a next day purolator pickup though.

I wonder if you can drop off parcels at UPS stores? or if they are going to limit that as well.
We just tested out fedex to ship parcel to Alberta Warehouse, will see how it goes

My pickup today was also cancelled. First time I've ever experienced this with UPS. On Monday, at 5:35 our driver came and said he got a message telling drivers no more pickups after 5:30. He apologized and said he'll be back the next day. Tuesday was perfectly normal. Then today, just like you, pickup cancelled.
I guess I'll request a pickup for Thursday, we'll see. Frustrating as I see some FBA centers are limiting when they will receive shipments as well.

My inbound fba shipment arrived in calgary to a UPS facility on Dec 1. It hasn't moved since then. I suspect for the same reason but wonder if anyone else is seeing this as well?

Hi,
Has anyone had any luck or any updates from UPS? They keep allowing me to schedule a pickup online as per usual, charge my card but then instead of providing me with my pickup reference number, they say “this service is temporarily suspended”.
I called UPS, they don’t know what’s going on, they say pickups were cancelled last week but they do not have an update for this week. I even spoke to my regular UPS driver, he doesn’t know what’s going on!
