Why is Amazon penalizing us for Canada Post strike??
It was bad enough that the strike caused us to lose sales, and be late with deliveries. Order continued to come through albeit slowly. I can't courier my products. I'm making about $10 - $15 on each order. Anyone selling here knows that our margins are slim.
I have a buyer ask for a refund. This was after the strike was over. I delivered their parcel to the post office on the first day that I could. So their parcel is in the postal system now. There was a backlog so things are slower than usual. I explained that the product is on it's way. Please understand that this is very frustrating for us as well. I beg your patience. etc. The product should arrive very soon now.
So I get another request for refund. She says " please refund. The product didn't arrive. I have made several requests". Well... she did not. This was the second request. And checking the Canada Post tracking number, they say it was delievered to them on Dec 31st. But at the same time, they generate and A to Z. When the tracking number says it was delivered, the blame me for that with an A to Z complaint. Of course I disputed this and expected the A to Z to go away.
I generated a refund right away. I have insurance for the missing parcel. But I asked that the A to Z be eliminated from my seller health rating. THIS IS NOT MY FAULT. They refused. Do they not know down there in the US that we had a postal strike.
Not only am I losing money because of the postal strike, I'm also being blamed for it. I had some that canceled the orders before the strike was over. No problem. I have the product here. But after the strike, orders that were not canceled were placed in the postal system. OF COURSE. And if the post office says it was delievered, but the buyer tells me it's missing, then there is a process to follow. But it's not my fault. And the A to Z is completely unfair. What is with Amazon? Why are you hurting us because of the strike?
