how to delete 1 of 2 accounts without risking to lose access to products and listings
This case seems to be too difficult for seller support to understand, and it also is too difficult for me to understand seller support.
I will try here to find an answer.
My business opened an Amazon seller account in North America, using email address 1. Two years later, we opened another seller account on Amazon Europe, using email address 2. We have 2 different merchant token for the 2 unified marketplaces North America and Europe. Obviously, every merchant token is bound to one of the emails.
For years, only email address 1 was used regardless on which Amazon website (.ca, .com, .co.uk).
It happened frequently that we were unable to edit our own listings. Amazon did not take over our modifications and in some cases, we even deleted products and recreated them because of this issue.
Following the recent updates in the seller ticket support system, we were now able to see why we were not allowed to edit our very own products: another brand contributor is the "winning" party and therefore, has control over our listings.
Pardon me?? Someone else hacked into our listings and took over control? Nope, not like that. The other, winning contributor, is us as well, but related to the other merchant token or email address 2.
Now I want to get rid of that 2nd login (email address 2), but I am afraid I would lose access to certain things like all our Amazon Europe listings, or the listings that are (wrongfully) bound to the 2nd login, when I just login with the 2nd email and click on "delete account".
The actual problem here is, that the seller support is not able to answer my question. They sent me to Amazon brand registry Europe, to contact the brand support. Unfortunately this is not working because in order to contact the support, I need to have a brand registration with Amazon brand registry in Europe. I don't have this. All trademarks are registered with Amazon brand registry in North America, but Amazon North America will not (or can not) help me with a problem that seems to be related to an Amazon Europe seller account (email address 2).
I hope that someone @amazon is reading this, and provides me with a short cut to get the problem sorted out, and the 2nd login removed without posing any risk to the 1st seller account.
Please understand that regardless which of the 2 emails I use to login, everything looks identical on every marketplace. Same bank accounts, same addresses, same listings. It is impossible to distinguish which email address was used to login. Only click on "login settings" under the gear icon reveals the currently used login (email address 1 or 2).
Thank you.

Have you considered asking amazon to merge the two accounts rather than deleting one ?

Hello @Seller_aKjpvLf9GNkXt
This is Roberto. This is definitely is a complex issue, but I am very interested in evaluating our options.
I was able to find a recent case where you reported this, so I have most of the details, but I also wanted to ask you if you could share at least a couple of ASINs/listings where the winning contributor is your other account .
Looking forward to hearing from you.
