Beware of using Amazon's Generate Listing Content with Add Product tool
Amazon now offers AI tool that generates title, description, and bullets points when creating a new listing. The problem is that you have to be super careful to check everything it has generated. Otherwise, small mistake will kill your product.
I created listing and used this "generate listing content" to see if it would give me a better product description and bullet points. Initially everything seemed good but once listing was created, I realized that it overwrote my product title. Once listing is created you cannot change the title as it keeps giving you error 8541. You no longer can reach catalog department to get their help. Support cases keep sending you to self-service tools that cannot resolve this issue.
Then we received Policy Violation warning for using prohibited health claim for our detox gummy. Our listing was removed before we could review auto-generated content and remove prohibited words. We called Account Health support. They sent us list of verbs that we cannot use in our listing. Some of these words were included in the product title, description and bullet points by auto-generated content tool. They told us to delete out listing, wait for 48 hours, and relist with proper wording according to Amazon's policy.
We followed instructions, deleted listing, waited for 48 hours, and now trying to create listing again but running into error 8541 there system now doesn't accept our new revised title because of the original already exists in the Amazon catalog. This original was created using "Generate listing content" tool and this AI tool included prohibited words in the title.
We were directed to use self-service tool to fix incorrect information but this tool work only for existing product listing. So, this is catch 22. Amazon's AI created listing that includes prohibited words, Amazon Account Policy bots flagged it after 3 weeks of the listing creation and after we already produced and sent the inventory to FBA, system removed this listing within 48 hour before we can revise this listing, Amazon support doesn't know what it is doing and just keeps sending scripted messages from their SOP manuals without understanding the issue, you cannot create a new listing with proper content that adheres to Amazon policy because Amazon catalog already has this erroneous information in its system even though you deleted the listing.
When Jeff Bezos started Amazon, he stated that you have to start with customer journey first and tailor your system remove any barriers to customer satisfaction. Apparently, Amazon sellers are not customers of Amazon platform as this system has become a monster that inflict maximum pain.
Anyone knows who to fix product title or get through a catalog department that can actually help resolving this issue? All it needs is to update product title from the backend like it used to do before this AI nonsense.

Update on how w fixed this issue:
Turns out when you are enrolled in Build International Listings and have accounts in other marketplaces, whenever you create a new listing, this listing gets automatically created in those marketplaces as well. So, when we deleted our listing from US marketplace, this listing still existed in other marketplaces like Australia.
Now deleting this listing in other marketplaces is not enough to resolve error 8541. You have to go into your Amazon Brand Registry and check if any of these other marketplaces are registered as your Brand Representative. You have to uncheck or remove that permission too. Otherwise, every time you try to update your listing's tittle, it will give you either 8541 or error stating that this listing has been claimed by another Brand representative (which is in this case is your own account but with another country marketplace). Only after this you can update product title that was originally created in Amazon catalog.
It took me opening more than 10 cases to resolve this but in the end non of the Amazon support specialists knew what was causing this issue since they only look at superficial issues from their manuals. Only last one told that "another representative of the brand" is my Australian account which I never used and it was deactivated because of this. Once I started digging around my Amazon Brand Registry, I was that Australia marketplace had a permission to be my Brand Representative. I do not know how that happened but I suspect it is because of automated Build International Listing feature.
Hope this helps to anyone struggling with similar issues.
Cheers.
