Hello! I’m quite new in the Amazon Seller experience and I would have questions related to one main subject: translation.
The company I work for is selling on Amazon.ca. I’d just like to know how the translation is handled on Amazon.ca
Do we need to send 2 feeds, one in English one in French? Do we need to send 1 feed in English and then translate in French? If so, how do I manage the translation in Amazon?
Thanks a lot for your time,

Quentin

There is no translation occurring on Amazon.ca

Amazon does have their content (help and other things like menu items) available in French.

Amazon DOES NOT currently (for any marketplace) have anything to allow for separate language versions for product details. What I do is to prepare a bilingual title, bullets, and description for those products.

You might be able to find a service, but Amazon does not promote one. They have identified some services for Europe.

Depending on the product’s category you can also create an ASIN PARENT/CHILD relationship and have the variation names set as “English” “French” then each can be a seperate listing in both languages however be listed side by side. Or you could make a second list with (French Version) at the end of the product name.

ASIN: B003TJ9KLO
My Pal, Violet (French Version)

Amazon.ca we have 2 options English and French. When the customer selects their language of choice,(ie other than english) The listings are all automatically translated into French. The translation is not perfect but it does the job. You can check by creating a listing then use a personal amazon account to verify what it will look like in french by changing your language settings on your personal amazon account.
