Can I list Restricted Products?

img

Happy friday dear Amazon.ca Sellers, I hope you are having a great week!

Have you ever wondered about the requirements for products in categories such as natural health, food & beverage, pesticides, veterinary drugs and health products, among others? It is really important before listing any items that can be considered as "Restricted Products" to know all the necessary information and requirements to avoid any issues to the listing.

We take product safety and these restrictions very seriously. Sellers should carefully review the "Examples of Permitted and Prohibited Listings" sections in each Restricted Product category before listing a product. If you list any restricted item, this may be subject for review which may impact your account health.

To avoid that, you can go the following resources that have information per category so you can confirm that the product you are listing is not a restricted product and proceed with the listing creation correctly:

Also, here are times when sellers list products that get removed due to "product restrictions". In this cases, sellers are required to provide specific information to confirm that the product is in compliance with the requirements. Failing to provide valid proof will cause that the product don’t get reinstated. For this, sellers must be in contact with Seller Support to provide this information and our team will be in charge of following up until there is an outcome, whether the ASIN gets reinstated or not.

Let us know in the comments if you have any questions regarding this topic.

In case you need support with an specific product you are having problems with, make sure you review the correct category on the help pages to follow all the requirements, and if you still need support don't doubt in contacting us through forums or Seller Support

Have a great rest of your week!

Cheers,

-Josh

What about sellers who have provided valid proof that an item isn't restricted?

Such as a car was soap that keeps getting tagged as a pesticide?

How do you actually get seller support to use their eyes and common sense?

I hope you're doing well. Thanks so much for the patience on this. I have been going back and forth with our internal team for them to review the case and still I haven't received a positive outcome, however, I am trying my last attempt with another workaround, so please bear with me a little more and I'll get back to you.

Hello @Josh_Amazon

@Sunnie_Amazon already helped me out with this in another forum thread and it has already been resolved and the listing is back active, however it is still in the wrong category, but the listing is back to being active until the AI bots take it down again in a couple months later this summer as the listing itself needs to change categories to car wash soaps instead of being in insect repellants.

@Josh_Amazon

Can you PLEASE help with my case? the appeal is denied now twice and they keep asking for a DIN or NPP identifying my cosmetic as a natural health product, which it is not, or no claims to be. Everything approved (went over with) health canada in terms of labelling and writing. Even showed support screenshots of approved wording guides, but were all ignored with same copy/paste answer asking for NHP numbers or DIN numbers which I couldn't get if I wanted to and dont apply to my COSMETIC simple skin cleanser.

Changed all possible flagged words as suggested, provided cosmetic number.. still denied.

would really appreciate your help!
