Deliver By Date - How is it figured?

Most of our orders have a 2-3 day Delivery window (even though our transit times are set to a minimum of 4-8 days). I have noticed that many of our orders now have a ONE day delivery date instead of a window. Why has this changed? Anyone else notice this?

Our Automated handling time Not active

Order 1: Ship by date: Feb 1, 2024 to Feb 2, 2024

Deliver by date: Feb 7, 2024

Set to 5 - 8 Days transit time

This order gives us a 5 day transit time but must be delivered on that ONE day.

--------------------------

Order 2: Ship by date: Feb 1, 2024 to Feb 2, 2024

Deliver by date: Feb 7, 2024 to Feb 9, 2024

Set to 5 - 8 Days transit time

This order gives us a 5-7 day transit time (almost right)

---------------------------

Order 3: Ship by date: Jan 29, 2024 to Jan 30, 2024

Deliver by date: Feb 2, 2024 to Feb 13, 2024

Set to 5 - 8 Days transit time

This order gives us 3-14 day transit time (like the extra time, but not sure why)

---------------------------

Order 4: Ship by date: Feb 1, 2024 to Feb 2, 2024

Deliver by date: Feb 7, 2024

Set to 5 - 8 Days transit time

Again, gives 5 day transit time but must be delivered on that ONE day.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks

Amazon has decided that you don't know how to run your business and adjusted listings where you had a history of outstanding service and shipped faster than stated. They then turn on you, adjust it to next day shipping so the customer can be disappointed when you can't ship every day. Then you get dinged for shipping late. You literally have to make sure not to ship sooner than you say you would.....

You need to do a file upload to overwrite Amazon's changes in handling time, however, if you ship too fast again, they will reset it over and over...

But today we noticed similar delivery times as you. We set our own handling time and don't let Amazon to it for us.

Here's another example.

This order is set with a 4-8 day transit time but Amazon only allowed 3 days transit. It was delivered on the 5th day (Jan 28) and now the customer wants to return it because it arrived late.

Ship by: Mon, Jan 22, 2024 to Tue, Jan 23, 2024

Deliver by: Fri, Jan 26, 2024

We have a thread about lead times:

Below is an example of our stock items that we ship the same day and Amazon is adding multiple days to the customers page.

Here is what we see on the back end:

Anyone else experiencing something like this? Our sales have gone down because to the customer it looks like we ship slow...

Hello @Seller_Yg9VOtSTjKUpU, is this the case for all ASINs? Do you use Shipping Settings Automation?

I want to take a deeper look into these orders. Have you opened a case with Seller Support? If so, I will just take the case ID.

Thank you!
