Brand Approval - Declined 10000x

Hello,

I am requesting a manual review of our Brand Approval application.

We have submitted the required documents multiple times, but the application continues to be declined for the same reason: “altered document.” We want to clearly state that we have not altered or modified any document. The documents submitted are legitimate and were provided as received.

To support this application, we even placed another purchase order for this brand so we could provide the required documentation for approval. Despite this, the application is still being rejected with the same generic reason and no specific explanation.

This has been extremely frustrating because there does not appear to be live support or a real person reviewing the case. We need someone to manually review the documents and provide a clear explanation of what is being flagged, so we can resolve the issue properly.

Please escalate this case to the appropriate team for manual review. Case ID - 19905328911 @Dougal_Amazon@Manny_Amazon@Glenn_Amazon @Susie_Amazon

Pro tip:

1. Every time it's declined, re-apply from scratch to create a new case.

2. After you apply, respond to the previous cases regarding this application.

3. Slowly slowly you'd have more and more open cases regarding this.

This is how we got approved for a big brand that we did legitimately had everything they asked but they kept denying without any reason. Took us about 10 different cases concurrent. After it was approved we still kept getting denials on the others, but it didn't matter as we are good to go, all we need is a single yes.

Hello @Seller_M4EaI2i58BxaE

The "altered document" rejection is one of the more common reasons applications get declined during the brand approval process. TheBrand Registry enrollment covers questions around brand approvals, and the review process involves validation of submitted artifacts including product images, trademarks, and supporting documentation.

Here are some things that can trigger an "altered document" flag — even when you haven't intentionally modified anything:

Image quality issues: Documents that appear digitally manipulated, have been scanned at low resolution, or show compression artifacts can be flagged. Images that are computer-generated or downloaded from the internet will cause rejections in all instances.

Screenshots: If you submitted screenshots of documents rather than original files, these may be treated as incorrect/forged documents.

Formatting inconsistencies: PDFs that have been converted, cropped, or saved through editing software can sometimes appear altered to automated review systems.

Recommended Next Steps

Open a new case with Seller Support directly through Seller Central: Go to Help → Get Support → Selling on Amazon → Product, Listing, or ASIN Issue → Brand Approval. Reference your previous case IDs and specifically request a manual review with detailed feedback on what is being flagged.

Resubmit with original, unmodified documents: Provide invoices or purchase orders as original PDFs directly from your supplier — not scanned copies, screenshots, or re-saved versions. Ensure the brand name on documents exactly matches the brand name on your application.

Include a cover letter: In your case, briefly explain the steps you've taken and request specific feedback on which document is being flagged and why.

Seller University resources: Review brand approval requirements

I know the process can feel impersonal, but persistence with the right documentation format typically resolves these situations. Keep at it — you're doing the right things.

Wishing you a smooth resolution! 🙌
