Will my account be associated with my girlfriends Amazon Account if used same IP & shipping?
My girlfriend wants to start selling on Amazon. She will be logging in at her apartment, my house and possibly my office. I have logged into my Amazon seller account at her apartment before. We would not be using the same laptop. She has her own banking info, credit card and she plans to sell products that are unrelated to my offerings.
Ideally my staff would help her to ship, since my shipping accounts have a discount, however if that may cause an association then I rather not take that risk.
Would the above factors cause any link between our accounts?

Hi there @Alliance,
I hope this finds you well!
I understand you would like more information on account relationships as your girlfriend is thinking of opening her own Amazon account. I would like to provide further insight into the applicable policy and resources for you to view at your leisure.
The Amazon Seller Code of Conduct states that all sellers may only maintain one selling account unless there is a legitimate business need for multiple accounts. Examples of a legitimate business justification include:
- You own multiple brands and maintain separate businesses for each
- You manufacture products for two distinct and separate companies
- You are recruited for an Amazon program that requires separate accounts
All accounts must remain in good standing. If one is not in good standing, then all related accounts will be deactivated until the issue with the original account is resolved.
This policy also extends to other marketplaces if you are participating in Amazon global selling and in situations such as yours, where your girlfriend's account will be sharing the same IP address. Whenever the same information is shared between two accounts, the relationship is established and it is difficult to discern that they belong to two separate people or businesses. At this point, the Code of Conduct and Multiple Accounts policy applies.
The more information shared between the two accounts, the stronger that relationship becomes.
Per policy, you will want to ensure both accounts stay healthy and in active status so you may avoid deactivation of both. It is a best practice to maintain completely separate business operations, but there are plenty of sellers who have multiple accounts and manage to remain active.
I suggest looking over the following pages and Seller University pages so you are able to make the best informed decision for your and your girlfriend's businesses.

All the best,
